Ether fades a 2250 push, slips back toward 2220

Ether spent the last 12 hours locked in a tight 2212 to 2249 band, but the last six hours tell the real story: a push above 2240 toward 2250 was sold, and price has drifted back to near 2225. Volume thinned on the way up while delta stayed negative, and cumulative delta keeps grinding lower through the session.

ETHUSDT Desk Read — the bounce that got sold

Angle this run: the failed push. Last cycle read the morning after the crack — a market that stopped falling but never found a bid. This window is different in texture: ETH actually tried to recover, tagging 2248–2250 around 11:00–12:00 UTC, and it was met with sellers. The 12-hour candle is nearly flat, but the last six hours show a clean fade from 2242 to 2225, with two of the final three hourly bars printing on rising volume into the lows. That is not a floor holding; that is supply reasserting at the shelf.

Session tone

The tape is compressing but leaning lower. The 12-hour candle looks like a pause — a flat +5.5 print that could read as a base — but the six-hour micro-structure disagrees. The push toward 2250 never cleared, volume did not confirm on the way up, and the last hour's delta is decisively negative with CVD accelerating lower. Each bounce is being sold, and the selling is coming on heavier volume than the bids.

The level that matters is 2250. As long as ETH stays under it, the path of least resistance remains down toward the 2205–2212 shelf from the prior window. A reclaim of 2250 on real volume would flip the short-term read, but nothing in the orderflow supports that yet.

Bias: down (short-term). Invalidation above 2250 on expanding delta; support shelf at 2205–2212.
